National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL) in Ranchi was established in 2010 as the fourteenth national law university of India. The courses have been crafted to develop new and progressive orientation towards the legal studies and its relationship with other sciences.Currently, the University is working to develop learning outcomes in the fields of Law and Genetic Engineering, Law and Biotechnology, Law and Information technology, Law and IPR, Law and Genome, Law and Medicine, Law and Economics and all such other interrelationships. The University offers unique five year integrated undergraduate educational programmes of B.A. LL.B.(Hons.), the main objective of which is to provide extensive knowledge base to the students of law. Apart from the core law subjects, the B.A. (LL.B.) programme, offered by the University, also gives opportunity to the students to learn various humanities subjects such as Philosophy, Sociology, Economics, History and English. Currently the University offers honors specialization in five areas, namely Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Rights and International Public Law and is going to increase the number of specializations offered by it in the B.A.(LL.B.) programme, in the coming years.
